Belize enjoys good sub-tropical weather with an average yearly temperature of about 81˚F along the coast and 69˚F in the hills. The rainy season is from June to November with the dry season December to May.

Because of Belize’s ideal location on the edge of the enticing Caribbean Sea and on the cusps of the mysterious Maya Mountains, the activities and attractions to enjoy are abundant. Belize is known for its world-class fishing expeditions and diving spots along its barrier reef, the Great Blue Hole and around its many palm studded, golden beaches. Inland, Belize is every jungle lover’s paradise with many nature trails in the rainforst filled with exotic plants and rare animals, adrenaline-filled zip lines and caves to explore, and mystical Mayan Ruins and sites to explore.

How can I get around?

In Belize, there are many transportation options at your disposal to get around. There are local bus services available around the clock to take you through the main towns and cities. Taxi services are also always readily available for quicker and more personal experience. There are express buses to go on long-distance travels as well as local airlines to take you from district to district and to the outer islands. Reliable water taxi services travel all day long to and from the major islands and cayes.

What languages are spoken in Belize?

English is the official language of Belize and it is the language most widely spoken here. However Spanish, Chinese, Mandarin, Dutch and French are just a few other languages that can be heard here as well since Belize has a large influx of immigrants from around the world that adds to its very diverse culture.
