Joe Jo’s by the Reef boasts 6 private ocean view cabins which are parallel to the Barrier Reef, along the eastern side of Tobacco Caye. Each cabin has a private deck with hammock to relax in the ocean breeze. Electric fans are available for those rare nights when the air is still. Each of our Tobacco Caye cabins has private bathrooms which are equipped with hot & cold shower. Our cabins also carry a Single and Double sized bed accommodating a maximum of 3 people.

There are also 3 suites located on the first floor and 1 on the second floor of the main building with private bathrooms, hot and cold shower, a fan and a shared deck to relax. Each of these suites have a view of the ocean and are open to the refreshing breeze. One suite is equipped with 2 Double Beds which accommodates a maximum of 4 people.

The other 3 units are equipped with one double bed to accommodate 2 people each.

The Reservation Office is located at the northern end of the first floor, which also houses a Coffee, gift and snack shop. The Dining Room is located just next to the Reservation Office.

Getting There:

American Airlines has daily flights from Miami and Houston; and United Airlines has from Atlanta where connections from other cities in the US and internationally can be made. The flight to Belize from these ports is less than 2 hours to the Philip Goldson International Airport in Belize.

Both Maya Island Air and Tropic Air offer 20-minute flights from the International Airport or Belize City Municipal Airport to Dangriga. If you prefer a more economical, interesting and scenic way to get to Dangriga, there is a Bus Terminal in Belize City where the James Bus Line makes daily runs. Call them at 702-2049 or 623-8478. The journey takes about 3 hours.

Once we know your arrival time and mode of transport, we can arrange to pick you up either at the Bus Terminal or the Airstrip in Dangriga and transport you to Tobacco Caye. This information must be provided when making your reservation.

Pickup from the airstrip and transportation to Tobacco Cay will cost approximately US$30 per person. The boat ride to the Island is approximately 30minutes.
